On July 31, 2021, Ambassador Liu Shaobin sent a message of condolence to Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu over wildfires in Türkiye. The message is as follows:

I was shocked to learn of the massive forest fires in your hometown of Antalya and other regions recently, which have caused heavy casualties and property losses. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Türkiye, and in my own name, I would like to express deep condolences to the victims and extend sincere sympathies to the bereaved families and the injured. I am confident that the Turkish government and Turkish people will be able to overcome the disaster as soon as possible and get through this difficult period.
