On March 8, 2022, Ambassador Liu Shaobin met with Transportation and Infrastructure Minister of Turkey Adil Karaismailoğlu.

Ambassador Liu stated that under the care and guidance of President Xi Jinping and President Pecep Tayyip Erdoğan, China-Turkey strategic cooperative relations have achieved all-round development in recent years. China is willing to work with Turkey to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and accelerate synergy between China’s Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and Turkey’s Middle Corridor (MC) so as to gain more fruitful results through concrete cooperation in such areas as transportation, infrastructure and communication.

Minister Karaismailoğlu stressed that China is an important partner and friend of Turkey. The Turkish side pays high attention to China's great achievements in transportation, infrastructure, high technology and other fields, and hopes to deepen practical cooperation and exchange experience with the Chinese side through integrating the BRI and the MC.
