On June 22, 2021, Ambassador Liu Shaobin met respectively with Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, Governor of Istanbul Province and Mr. Ekrem İmamoğlu, Mayor of Istanbul City. They exchanged views on China-Türkiye relations, especially exchanges and cooperation at the local level between the two countries. Both Governor Yerlikaya and Mayor İmamoğlu extended warm congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and expressed their willingness to further promote cooperation between the two countries as well as at the local level in various fields, and to strengthen exchanges with China on state governance and administration.
