On July 30, Ambassador Liu Shaobin met with Mr. Ahmet Arslan, Chairman of the Türkiye-China Interparliamentary Friendship Group of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye. Ambassador Liu said that this year marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye. Over the past 50 years, cooperation between China and Türkiye in various fields has been tremendously boosted, bringing tangible benefits to both sides. Not long ago, President Xi Jinping had a phone conversation with President Erdoğan. The two heads of state reached important consensus on advancing China-Türkiye strategic cooperative relations, charting the course for the development of bilateral relations. It is hoped that the two sides will take the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries as an opportunity to further enhance political mutual trust and promote new and greater development of bilateral relations.

Mr. Arslan extended congratulations on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. He said that  Türkiye and China will soon usher in the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, which is worth commemorating and celebrating jointly by the two sides. The Türkiye-China Interparliamentary Friendship Group will, as always, play an active role in promoting the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries and make positive contribution in this regard.
