On December 13, 2022, Ambassador Liu Shaobin attended the reception to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the Türkiye-China Business Development and Support Association. Özgül Özkan Yavuz, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of Türkiye, İhsan Beşer, Chairman of the Türkiye-China Business Development and Support Association and other friendly people from all walks of life of Türkiye were also present.
Ambassador Liu stated in his speech that since its establishment, the Türkiye-China Business Development and Support Association has been committed to promoting friendship and practical cooperation between the two countries, building a new bridge of friendship between China and Türkiye. In particular, in the face of the COVID-19 epidemic, the association has risen to the challenge and promoted bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various ways. Last year, the large-scale forum and exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Türkiye were successfully held, which added luster to the anniversary and were well received by all walks of life in the two countries. The association also launched Türkiye and China, Türkiye’s first Chinese-Turkish bilingual journal, providing a rewarding platform for mutual understanding. This year, the association actively organized Turkish enterprises’ participation in the China International Import Expo, striving to improve the level of trade cooperation between the two countries. On behalf of the Chinese Embassy, Ambassador Liu expressed his appreciation to the work of the association and expected constant development of the association and its greater role in promoting friendly exchanges and concrete cooperation between China and Türkiye.
Deputy Minister Yavuz said that since the establishment of the strategic cooperative relations between Türkiye and China in 2010, the two sides has made continuous progress in their bilateral cooperation in various fields. Türkiye is willing to strengthen close cooperation with China in various fields including people-to-people and cultural exchanges, so as to bring Türkiye-China relations to a higher level.
Chairman İhsan said that the association will continue to play the role as a bridge and contribute to the friendly exchanges and economic and trade cooperation between Türkiye and China.
