On November 28, 2022, Lan Weibin, wife of the Chinese Ambassador to Türkiye, met with Ms. Tan Ataç, President of the Turkish-Chinese Women’s Friendship and Culture Association.

Ms. Ataç said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the Turkish-Chinese Women’s Friendship and Culture Association. Over the past 30 years, the association has maintained sound relations with Chinese instututions such as Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and All-China Women’s Federation, and has always been committed to promoting Türkiye-China friendship, especially exchanges and cooperation between women of the two countries. Standing at a new starting point, the association is willing to strengthen cooperation with the Chinese Embassy in Türkiye and make greater contributions to cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

Ms. Lan Weibin congratulated the Turkish-Chinese Women’s Friendship and Culture Association for its 30th anniversary, and spoke highly of the great deal of work that the association has done to promote friendship between the two peoples over the years. It is hoped and believed that under the leadership of President Ataç, the association will make even greater contribution to friendship between the two peoples and the sound and stable development of China-Türkiye relations.
